Retaining our water rights is key to keeping rates affordable, protecting our health, safety, economy, agriculture and rural environment. We must fend off efforts to send our water South. These are my priorities.
The gridlock we see in politics and government comes from people creating divisions and fueling fear. Fear mongering solves nothing and makes us vulnerable. We must work together.
Throughout my long career, military and civilian, professional and public service, the path to solving problems has always been: Listening, leadership and teamwork. We must work together to stop California’s aggressive water control proposals, like rationing us to send more water South, and stop water taxes.
